​Google announced AI Mode availability in 5 new languages worldwide (in those countries where it's available already): Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Google’s Veo 3 can now generate vertical AI videos

Google has added support for 1080p resolution and vertical video formats to its Veo 3 AI video generator. The tools now allow users to generate videos in a 9:16 aspect ratio that’s better suited for content displayed on mobile devices and social media apps.

Gemini app finally expands to audio files

Google made three major updates to its Gemini-powered products: The Gemini app now accepts audio files; Search can handle five new languages; and NotebookLM creates reports in the form of blog posts, study guides, quizzes, and more.

Claude can now create and edit files

Claude can now create and edit Excel spreadsheets, documents, PowerPoint slide decks, and PDFs directly in Claude.ai and the desktop app.

Encyclopedia Britannica sues Perplexity over AI 'answer engine'

Alphabet, Meta, OpenAI, xAI and Snap face FTC probe over AI chatbot safety for kids
