Anthropic released Claude Sonnet 4.5 along with a set of major upgrades to their products. “This is the most aligned frontier model we’ve ever released, showing large improvements across several areas of alignment compared to previous Claude models”. Pricing remains the same as Claude Sonnet 4, at $3/$15 per million tokens.
OpenAI announces Instant Checkout and the Agentic Commerce Protocol

OpenAI launches Instant Checkout, and US ChatGPT Free, Plus, and Pro users can buy from US Etsy sellers right inside chat; support for 1M+ Shopify merchants is coming soon. The tech, Agentic Commerce Protocol, is open-sourced and co-built with Stripe.

OpenAI
OpenAI launches Sora 2, which generates realistic video and audio, including complex soundscapes and speech. It also includes parental controls for managing scroll limits, personalization, and direct messages via ChatGPT.
Brave introduces Ask Brave
Brave
Brave launches Ask Brave, a single interface that consolidates search and AI chat. It’s their answer to Google’s AI Mode. It is available on the Brave Search homepage and at the top of the Brave Search results page for free, and is available on any browser or platform.
Perplexity’s Comet browser is now available to everyone for free

Perplexity’s agentic AI browser Comet is now available to everyone for free. Access to Comet Plus is included for subscribers to Perplexity Pro and Max, and $5 per month for all other users.
Google Search Labs gains Agentic capabilities in AI Mode

Google Search Labs introduces an opt-in experiment for US users: AI Mode with Agentic capabilities. Signed-in Google accounts can now make restaurant reservations, with future plans for booking local services and event tickets.

Meta plans to sell targeted ads based on data in your AI chats

Meta announced that data collected from user interactions with its AI products will soon be used to sell targeted ads across its social media platforms. The new policy applies globally, except for users in a few countries like South Korea and the UK.
