OpenAI Introduces apps in ChatGPT and the new Apps SDK

OpenAI is launching a new generation of chat apps within ChatGPT, available to all logged-in users outside the EU on Free, Go, Plus, and Pro plans. These apps include Booking.com, Canva, Coursera, Zillow, and more. Developers can start building their own apps with the new Apps SDK, now in preview.

OpenAI’s affordable ChatGPT Go plan expands to 16 new countries in Asia

OpenAI is expanding its ChatGPT Go plan, which costs under $5, to 16 new countries across Asia. The subscription tier is now available in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, and more. 

Google’s AI Mode is now available in more languages and locations around the world

AI Mode is now available in over 35 new languages and over 40 new countries and territories. This makes AI Mode available in over 200 countries and territories, including many across Europe.

Anthropic launches Petri: An open-source auditing tool to accelerate AI safety research

Petri (Parallel Exploration Tool for Risky Interactions) is Anthropic’s open-source tool for studying model behavior. It uses an automated agent to run multi-turn conversations with simulated users and tools, then scores and summarizes how the target AI system responds.

Google launches the Gemini 2.5 Computer Use model

Google released the Gemini 2.5 Computer Use model, letting developers build agents that interact with user interfaces. It’s optimized for web browsers and shows strong promise for mobile UI control tasks. The model is in public preview and available via Google AI Studio and Vertex AI.

Meta now lets you discover Reels From Around the World With Meta AI Translation

Meta announced adding two more languages, Hindi and Portuguese, to their Meta AI Translations, making it easier than ever to watch reels from creators around the world, with more languages coming soon.

Google’s virtual try-on tool lets you try on shoes and will expand to new countries

Google’s virtual try-on, which lets you try clothing items using AI, is now expanding to Australia, Canada, and Japan, and rolling out to a new category: shoes.
